IND vs BAN: Virender Sehwag Gave A Hard-Hitting Verdict On Team India’s Defeat Against Bangladesh

After losing the series opener, the Indian cricket team lost the 2nd ODI match against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka by five runs on Wednesday. With this, the Bangladesh cricket team has taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the ongoing 3-match ODI series with a game to spare. This is the second time in history that India has lost an ODI series against Bangladesh, having also lost on their last visit to the country for a 50-over battle under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. 

2022 continues to go from bad to worse for the Men in Blue. This was India’s second successive defeat in an ODI series having also lost an away series to New Zealand last month. Here’s a list of the series and tournaments India lost in 2022. Check it out:

– Lost the Test series in South Africa 

– Lost the ODI series in South Africa

– Lost the 5th Test in England 

– Couldn’t qualify for the Asia Cup final

– Lost in the Semi-final of T20 World Cup 2022

– Lost the ODI series in New Zealand.

– Lost the ODI series in Bangladesh

Following India’s defeat against Bangladesh in the 2nd ODI, former Indian opening batter Virender Sehwag gave a no-nonsense verdict on India’s embarrassing defeat. Sehwag took to his social media and gave an honest verdict on India’s poor performances in recent times. In his Tweet, he called for a ‘shake-up’ in the team. He wrote:

“Cryptos se bhi tez gir rahi hai apni performance yaar. Need to shake up – wake up,”

Earlier, Bangladesh had taken a 1-0 lead by winning the series opener by 1 wicket. The 3rd and final ODI match, which is a dead rubber, will be played on Saturday, 10th December.
