IND vs BAN: Virat Kohli’s Epic Reaction After Litton Das Takes a Stunning Catch to Dismiss Him has Gone Viral

Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli finally returned to competitive cricket after a short break, however, his innings was cut short as he was dislodged for just 9 by Shakib Al Hasan during the ongoing first ODI of the three-match series between India and Bangladesh on Sunday.

After Bangladesh opted to bowl first at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Virat Kohli walked out to bat at no.3 after opener Shikhar Dhawan’s attempt at reverse sweep backfired as he was castled by Mehidy Hasan on 7 in the sixth over of the Indian innings. In the 11th over of the game, former skipper and star Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan gave team India a double blow as he dismissed both Rohit and Kohli, in the space of 3 balls.

While Rohit was bowled out on the second ball, Kohli, who has been in stunning form since the start of the Asia Cup 2022, was caught by Bangladeshi skipper Litton on the fourth ball. Virat Kohli could only manage to score 9 runs from 15 balls with the help of one-four. Kohli went after an outside off-delivery from the allrounder. He was left shocked when  Litton Das made a full-length dive to his right and plucked out a one-handed stunner to send the former captain back to the pavilion.

Litton Das went flying in the air to complete the stunning catch. Virat was left stunned by the opposition captain’s heroic effort on the field and the video of the same has been going viral on the internet.

Meanwhile, for the Bangladesh ODI series, the Indian team has selected a full-strength side as far as the batting line-up is concerned as it includes Rohit, Virat, Dhawan, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer. Keeper-batter Rishabh Pant was also included in the squad, however, he was released before the first match because of an injury.

“In consultation with the BCCI Medical Team, Rishabh Pant has been released from the ODI squad. He will join the team ahead of the Test series. No replacement has been sought,” the BCCI said in a statement.
