India pacer Deepak Chahar has been left stranded without his luggage in Bangladesh, and could well miss the 1st ODI against Litton Das’ team on Sunday in Dhaka. If he does so, it will add another to the list of weird and unusual reasons cricketers had missed professional games.
Chahar was part of the ODI series in New Zealand that ended on November 30th, Wednesday, and the pacer, along with a few others flew to Bangladesh. He has joined the Indian squad in Dhaka, however, the seamer doesn’t have his luggage with him, which has been misplaced by the Malaysia Airlines.
The 30-year-old CSK seamer took to Twitter on Saturday morning to slam the Malaysia Airlines and let everyone know of the appalling time he’d had with this airline. Chahar alleged that their flight was changed “without telling us” and then there was no meal provided in the flight, even in business class.
Finally, what has frustrated Deepak Chahar the most was the last of the mistake by the airlines as he has “waiting for our luggage from last 24 hours” and if there is more delay till tomorrow, then Chahar could even miss out on the first ODI.
“Had a worse experience traveling with Malaysia airlines @MAS .first they changed our flight without telling us and no food in Business class now we have been waiting for our luggage for the last 24 hours .imagine we have a game to play tomorrow 😃 #worse #experience #flyingcar,” Deepak Chahar tweeted.
Deepak Chahar’s tweet, expressing his plight and slamming the airline, has gone viral:

Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar has gradually made a successful comeback to international cricket after a 6-month injury layoff. It even seems like Chahar has usurped the position of the seam-bowling all-rounder, to be slotted in at number 8, from Shardul Thakur, with Chahar clearly showing better hitting prowess than Thakur. Nonetheless, this upcoming Bangladesh ODI series given more opportunities for both Chahar and Thakur, and other fringe pacers, to show their worth in the absence of Bumrah and Shami.
