Here’s Why Rohit Sharma Fans Are Slamming Ravichandran Ashwin On Twitter

Apart from his spin bowling, India’s veteran bowler Ravichandran Ashwin is known for his great sense of humor. The veteran off-spinner is one of the most active Indian cricketers on social media and has a huge fan following on Twitter. He never fails to impress us with his deep cricketing knowledge and his witty tweets. 

Ravi Ashwin is currently on a break and is currently relaxing ahead of the upcoming two-test series against Bangladesh. Even though he is away from all the on-field action, he has still managed to grab all the attention. 

Yes, you read that right. Unlike many other cricketers, Ashwin also responds to his fans and critics on the platform. And something similar happened on Wednesday when Ravichandran Ashwin gave a savage reply to a fan, who tried to troll him.

Well, during the 3rd ODI between India and New Zealand on Wednesday (November 30), Ravi Ashwin took to his Twitter and shared a Tweet about the banter going on in the commentary box. Ashwin highlighted how Kiwi legend Stephen Fleming, and former India bowlers Murali Kartik and Zaheer Khan fought over the different nature of surfaces that were provided whenever the other country visited their shores. He wrote: 

“Quality banter from Stephen Fleming, @kartikmurali and @ImZaheer. Flem talking about flat wickets when india come for a series to NZ and our boys reminding him about the 2002 series where Dan Vettori dint bowl a single over,”

The tweet was flooded with reactions from fans, who came up with their interesting takes on the Tweet. Among many, a user made a bizarre request to him and wrote: “Anna one plate idli sambar.” The cricketer was quick to respond to the troll and won the internet with his ‘one-word’ reply. Ashwin replied: “Vada”.

Ravi Ashwin’s reply won the internet. Fans praised how Ashwin floored the troll with his humility instead of being rude to him. However, many Rohit Sharma fans mistook his ‘Vada’ comment to be a dig at the Indian captain as the troll had the picture of Rohit as his display picture and they started bashing him left, right and center.
