IND vs BAN: This Star All-Rounder Will Replace Ravindra Jadeja In India’s ODI Squad

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced that star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and young pacer Yash Dayal have been ruled out of the 3-match ODI series against Bangladesh. Jadeja, who was expected to return to the Indian side for the series against Bangladesh, has failed to recover from his injury which he suffered earlier this year and will continue to be under the supervision of the BCCI Medical team. On the other hand, Yash Dayal was suffering from a lower back issue and was hence ruled out of the series.

Ravindra Jadeja had to undergo knee surgery and was ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2022. Ever since his surgery, Jadeja has been in the National Cricket Academy (NCA) as part of his rehabilitation. Left-arm spin all-rounder, Shahbaz Ahmed has replaced unfit Ravindra Jadeja for the upcoming series.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named fast bowler Kuldeep Sen as the replacement for Dayal. The BCCI said in a statement: “Kuldeep and Shahbaz were initially named in the squad for the 3-match ODI series in New Zealand starting 25th November in Auckland. However, they will now be a part of the squad travelling to Bangladesh. No replacements have been named for the ODI squad currently in New Zealand,”
