The world’s number one T20I batter, Suryakumar Yadav, set the ground on fire as he registered his second T20I century in the second T20I of the three-match series against New Zealand, which is being played at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. The 32-year-old batter smashed the Kiwi bowlers to all the corners of the ground as he put up a stellar show to leave everyone stunned.

Surya continued his sensational form in the shortest format of the game. Though he started off slow, unlike his natural game, however, he recovered quickly as only he can. He completed his 50 in just 32 balls and scored the next 50 runs in just 17 balls as he brought up his century off just 49 balls in Mount Maunganui on Sunday.

Overall, Suryakumar scored 111 not out off 51 balls. His knock came at a time when the Indian side was struggling to get going in the game after  being invited to bat first by New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson. However, once Surya came in and took charge the Indian side took the driver’s seat till the end of the innings.

All thanks to SKY’s blistering innings the Indian cricket team posted a competitive total of 191 runs for 6 in 20 overs against New Zealand. His stellar knock was laced with 11 fours and seven sixes.

Post his century, the social media got flooded with congratulatory messages and amazing reactions from the fans and cricketers alike. Among many, former Indian captain and batting maestro Virat Kohli also took to his social media and hailed the brilliance of batting sensation as he scored his second T20I hundred.

In his tweet, Kohli wrote how he wasn’t able to watch it live but he is sure that it was another video-game like innings by SKY. He wrote: “Numero Uno showing why he’s the best in the world. Didn’t watch it live but I’m sure this was another video game innings by him. 😂 @surya_14kumar”
