Reetinder Sodhi Summarised ‘Virat Kohli vs BCCI’ In A Hilarious Way

Virat Kohli vs BCCI: Former Indian cricket Reetinder Sodhi gave a very funny analysis on the ongoing Virat Kohli vs BCCI controversy. After Virat Kohli was sacked by the BCCI as ODI captain and Rohit Sharma was named as his replacement, all hell broke loose and fans got divided.

Virat Kohli addressed this issue in the most aggressive way and said:

“I was contacted one-and-a-half hour before selection for Tests. The chief selector discussed with me the Test squad. Before the call ended, I was told that the five selectors have decided that I won’t be ODI captain anymore. There was no prior communication about this.”

But, this in contradiction with what BCCI President Sourav Ganguly had said about Virat Kohli’s sacking.

“It’s like I said… I personally requested him (Kohli) not to give up the T20I captaincy. Obviously, he felt the workload. Which is fine, he has been a great cricketer, he has been very intense with his cricket. He has captained for a long period of time and these things happen. Because I have captained for a long period of time; therefore, I know,” Sourav Ganguly stated while talking to News18.

Reacting to the controversy between Virat Kohli and BCCI, Reetinder Sodhi said that statements from both sides are so contradicting that everything seems to be messed up.

“Khichdi si pak gayi hai”

“This is an amazing thing. Dada, who is the Board president is saying that he had asked not to leave the captaincy and Virat is saying no talk like that had happened. So ‘Khichdi si pak gayi hai’ about what has happened exactly,” Reetinder Sodhi stated on India News.

“All said and done, the amount of cricket I have played with Dada, the integrity he defines, he has been a champion, so if he is saying that, he would have certainly said it. Here the Board president’s respect is extremely necessary. Only time will tell because Virat knows it better,” Reetinder Sodhi added.
