Twice in the Hyderabad Test, England opener Zak Crawley was dismissed by India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. In the first innings, Mohammed Siraj took the catch at mid-off and in the second innings, skipper Rohit Sharma took a sharp catch at first slip to send Crawley packing.
As they did in the first innings, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett started off in the Bazball fashion, collecting a flurry of boundaries. Ashwin once again got India the first breakthrough; it was Duckett in the first innings, it was Crawley in the second.
Ashwin went round the wicket to Crawley to challenge him with multiple angles and trajectories and succeded in getting an outside edge with a full ball from Crawley’s defensive push.
Rohit Sharma, who had taken an excellent catch in the first innings of Ollie Pope, stooping low to his left, this time took a good catch to his left. Rohit Sharma was delighted with the breakthrough and celebrated it with a punch in the air.

Meanwhile, after the counter-attack from Ben Duckett, who scored 47 runs in 52 balls, India rocked back in the game with a stunning spell from Jasprit Bumrah, who unleashed some reverse-swinging deliveries. He toppled Duckett’s off-stump and got Joe Root lbw. At the time of writing, England are 125/3, still trailing by 65 runs.
