Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal made predictions for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Chahal didn’t choose Virat Kohli or Shubman Gill for the highest run-scorer award, also known as the Orange Cap, for IPL 2024.
Yuzvendra Chahal holds the record for being the highest wicket-taker in the history of the T20 tournament. The right-arm spinner has claimed 187 wickets in 145 matches, boasting an impressive average of 21.69 and an economy rate of 7.67. He earned the Purple Cap for taking the most wickets in the IPL in 2022.
Yuzvendra Chahal Made A Big Prediction For Orange Cap Winner Of The Season

In a video on his YouTube channel ‘JokerKiHaveli,’ Esports streamer Gulrez Khan asked Yuzvendra Chahal about his prediction for the highest run-scorer in the upcoming IPL 2024 season. Chahal chose two of his Rajasthan Royals teammates as his picks for winning the Orange Cap this year.
The 33-year-old cricketer predicted that either Yashasvi Jaiswal or Jos Buttler would be the top run-scorer, winning the Orange Cap in IPL 2024. Buttler, who is also England’s white-ball captain, previously won the Orange Cap in the IPL 2022 season when the Rajasthan Royals reached the final match.
During the 2022 season of the cash-rich league, Buttler scored an impressive 863 runs in 17 matches for the Rajasthan Royals. Meanwhile, Jaiswal showed outstanding form in IPL 2023, scoring 624 runs in 14 matches. Notably, he set a record for the most runs by an uncapped batter in an IPL season.
