‘Look At The Scoreboard….” – Hardik Pandya Revealed MS Dhoni’s Advice That Changed His Career

India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is currently in Australia with the Indian cricket team, where they are preparing for much-awaited India vs Pakistan match in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. Hardik Pandya is expected to play a big role for the Indian side in the ongoing marquee event. 

In a recent interview, Hardik Pandya, who is known to be very close to former Indian captain MS Dhoni, revealed that the former captain had given him a lot of advice but a special one that he once gave got stuck in the young explosive finisher’s mind. Pandya revealed:

“MS Dhoni once told me, look at the scorecard & play, not yours but what team needs – that has helped me a lot”.

In a video shared by T20 World Cup broadcaster Star Sports, Hardik Pandya opened up about his life and how cricket was the only “choice” for him. Pandya then talked about MS Dhoni and how the legendary captain has helped him become the all-rounder that he is today. He said: 

“Cricket was the only choice I had, and it was the only goal in my life… and it still is now.” He added: “Cricket was the only medium I thought of in life, to achieve something.”

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni has retired from international cricket and will be next seen in action in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. On the other hand, Pandya has become a force t reckoned with in T20s and is now feared for his explosive finishing skills. He has emerged out as one of the most crucial links for India’s success in the shortest format.

The Indian cricket team will begin their campaign in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 with a  match against arch-rivals Pakistan this Sunday on October 23, 2022. The marquee event will conclude with the final showdown on November 13, 2022
