India’s young cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal has climbed two spots in the Test batters’ rankings, securing a position in the top 10 for the first time. His impressive performance in the Test series against England led to this rise in rankings.

Jaiswal has been in outstanding form throughout the series, accumulating a total of 655 runs across four Test matches. He has already equaled Virat Kohli’s run tally in a Test series against England and is on the verge of surpassing the legendary batter’s record in the upcoming Dharamsala Test.

Following his consistent performances, Jaiswal received another promotion, this time moving up two spots in the rankings. This elevation placed him in the top 10 for the first time in his Test career. He now joins Virat Kohli as the second Indian in the top 10, with Kohli maintaining his position at 8th rank.
