Talking about the dismissal, Axar Patel looked brilliant with the bat in the Mumbai Test match and had already smashed his maiden Test fifty and played his part in taking India to 325 runs. However, in the 108th over of the match, Ajaz Patel unleashed an 82.6kph in-turner. Axar allowed the ball to hit his pad, the Indian all-rounder stretched his front leg out a fair way so that the ball has to turn a bit to threaten the stumps. Interestingly, the first ball that Axar faced was the hat-trick ball from Ajaz Patel.

Later after the match, Axar spoke about the hat-trick ball that he faced from Ajaz Patel and also about the dismissal. He said:

“I actually didn’t get much time to think. I was wearing my pads and then suddenly I had to go out and play the hat-trick ball. Mayank was set and he told me that the more you bat, it will get easier. So I just decided to spend some time out in the middle. And once I got my eye in, I started playing my strokes as well”
