Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has urged every team in IPL 2024 to beware of Virat Kohli. The 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League will kickstart with the three-time runners-up Royal Challengers Bangalore and five-time champions Chennai Super Kings locking their horns with each other. While CSK sets its sights on claiming their 6th IPL title this season, RCB aims to end their long-awaited quest for an IPL championship, after 16 years.
Mohammad Kaif Wants IPL Teams To Be Aware Of Virat Kohli

The upcoming 2023 edition also promises to be particularly special with the return of Rishabh Pant, potential clashes between Ishan Kishan-Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma, and a host of other exciting clashes.
Ahead of the IPL 2024, Mohammad Kaif talked about Virat Kohli and his much-awaited return, during a recent chat with Star Sports. Kohli has been out of action since January, missing out on the entire 5-match Test series against England, because of the birth of his second child with wife Anushka Sharma.
Regarding Virat Kohli’s much-awaited return through the Indian Premier League, Kaif highlighted that the 35-year-old, whenever he returns from a break, tends to shatter opposing bowling units and always makes a stylish comeback.
Mohammed Kaif recalled the time when Kohli took a break before Asia Cup 2022 and when he returned, he smashed a century after 2 years against Afghanistan. Recalling his comeback, Kaif asked the teams to be aware of Virat Kohli. He said:
“I remember during the Asia Cup (2022) when he scored a century against Afghanistan, since then, he hasn’t looked back. So I think he’s going to continue this amazing form. One special thing about Virat Kohli is that every time he comes back from a break, he plays really well. Most players want to be in touch and play regularly to get in form but Virat Kohli every time when he comes back, he comes across as a more dangerous batsman.”
Virat Kohli, who is the highest run-scorer in IPL history, will aim to add to his impressive tally of 7263 runs in the upcoming season. In the 2023 season, he showcased his batting prowess by amassing 639 runs from 14 matches, which included 2 centuries and 6 half-centuries.
