Aakash Chopra Highlights The Main Weakness RCB Going Into IPL 2024

The IPL 2024 is set to start in a few days. The excitement is increasing as it is the most competitive and thrilling T20 tournament in the world. The ten franchises have already started preparing for the tournament in their respective training camps. Strategies are being made, and rivalries will reignite. The IPL is a cutthroat competition where every match is a high-stakes showdown. Teams go all out to outsmart and outplay each other, displaying their best skills and strategies. The pressure is intense, making every run, catch, and wicket crucial in the quest for victory.

Aakash Chopra Highlight The Main Weakness of RCB Going Into IPL 2024

Amid all this competition, one team that hasn’t been able to win the IPL is Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). RCB is one of the most popular and iconic franchises in the IPL. They definitely have the most loyal fanbase, as they have a huge number of fans despite not winning the trophy even once. They have always boasted of star power in their batting line-up. However, their bowling attack has always been the cause of worry and has reduced their chances of winning the IPL. Their bowlers have gone for runs, and hence RCB has not been able to even defend big targets consistently.

Now, as the IPL 2024 is set to start, the focus is again on RCB. Can they finally win an IPL trophy? However, after the IPL 2024 auction, the bowling attack looks very weak yet again. Former India opener and current analyst, Aakash Chopra, talked about the weakness of RCB going into IPL 2024.

“Weakness is very evident in RCB. When I look at the bowling line up, I ask where is a spinner? Why haven’t you purchased any? They got Mayank Daggar from Hyderabad. But Daggar is going to do the same work as Shahbaz Nadeem was doing. Karn Sharna is a good bowler but you (RCB) hesitate to use him. There are domestic players as well but apart from that I see no big names,” Chopra explains in a video.
