For the first time since their heated exchange in the previous IPL, Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli confronted each other on Friday (March 29) as Royal Challengers Bangalore hosted Kolkata Knight Riders in the tenth match of IPL 2024.

During a match last year, Virat Kohli found himself in a confrontation with Lucknow Super Giants’ bowler Naveen-ul-Haq. Following the game, both players engaged in a verbal exchange, which escalated until Gautam Gambhir, the former Indian cricketer serving as LSG’s mentor, intervened.

Last year, Kohli reconciled with Naveen-ul-Haq. They shook hands and embraced during a match between India and Afghanistan in the ODI World Cup. Following the incident, Naveen shared his thoughts, stating:

“He told me ‘let’s finish it.’ I said yeah let’s finish it. We laughed about it, we hugged and moved on. He also said that after this you won’t hear my name. You will only hear support from the crowd.”
