Indian cricket star Virat Kohli displayed a generous act of kindness during a recent match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by gifting his bat to KKR player Rinku Singh.
This heartwarming gesture was captured and shared on KKR’s official Instagram page following their victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The exchange between Kohli and Rinku was one of the standout moments from the match, showcasing the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie between the players.
Last year, Gautam Gambhir, then mentoring the Lucknow Super Giants, had a heated exchange with Virat Kohli during an IPL match. The tension escalated after incidents involving Avesh Khan and Naveen-ul-Haq. Their argument became the talk of IPL 2023. However, in the recent match, they reconciled. Kohli and Gambhir hugged, shook hands, and even shared smiles. Moreover, Kohli’s kind gesture of gifting his bat to Rinku Singh added a heartwarming touch to the moment.
Rinku Singh Shared A Beautiful Post After Virat Kohli Gifted Him A Bat

In the Instagram post shared by KKR, Virat Kohli can be seen saying something to Rinku Singh about the bat he was giving to him. The post featured a carousel of images, including ones of Rinku with Kohli and Rohit Sharma during the T20I series against Afghanistan in January. The final slide showed a picture of Rinku and Kohli together during the left-handed batter’s early seasons in the IPL. KKR captioned the post, “The bond we love to see! 💜❤️”

Rinku Singh later shared the same post on his Instagram story with a caption that expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for the advice bhaiya and also for the bat.”
During the KKR vs RCB match, a spirit of camaraderie prevailed, indicating an absence of animosity, conflicts, or resentment. This was particularly evident during the first strategic timeout when Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar were at the crease. Gautam Gambhir approached Kohli, seemingly putting an end to any past tensions between them.
After their 7-wicket defeat against KKR, RCB is gearing up to face LSG next. This match holds significance due to the heated argument between Virat Kohli and Naveen-Ul-Haq-Gautam Gambhir in the previous season. RCB has won three times against LSG, who have won only once in their head-to-head encounters. The match is scheduled for April 2nd.
