Fans React After Reports Of Sourav Ganguly Giving Up On The BCCI Presidency Went Viral

Former Indian cricketer and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly is set to end his innings with the BCCI. As per the reports doing rounds, Ganguly will not contest in the BCCI elections on October 18th. He is being tipped to be India’s representative for the International Cricket Council Chairman post.

Well, as per a report by Dainik Jagran, a meeting of top BCCI officials took place on Thursday. Apart from the current office bearers, several veteran officials were also present in the meeting, including vice president Rajeev Shukla and former BCCI president N Srinivasan. The report further revealed that in the meeting it was decided that Ganguly would walk away once his current tenure ended later this month, while the current secretary Jay Shah would continue in his role and should contest the election for the same post once again.

Now the big question is if not Sourav Ganguly then who? Who will take control of the world’s richest cricket board? Well, two names have come forward to take Ganguly’s place in the BCCI administration. The first candidate is former India all-rounder and former selector Roger Binny, while the second candidate is the current former BCCI treasurer and current vice-president Rajeev Shukla.
