WATCH: Deepak Chahar Abused Mohammad Siraj During 3rd T20I vs SA

The Indian seamers had a forgettable day on Tuesday during the third T20I against South Africa in Indore as the visitors piled up a mammoth total of 227/3 courtesy of a century from Rilee Rossouw and a half-century from Quinton de Kock.

Five of the six bowlers Rohit Sharma used went for more than 11 runs per over! This was after Sharma had won the toss and elected to field first.

During this carnage from the South African batters, Mohammed Siraj had a terrible game: not only he leaked 44 runs in his 4 overs, Siraj also dropped two catches – those of Rossouw and Miller. After making the mistake the second time, Siraj also copped some expletives from pacer Deepak Chahar.

Chahar abused Mohammed Siraj, video goes viral

Deepak Chahar has bowled well for 3/4 of his spell. He had gone for 24 runs in his first three overs and was tasked to bowl the last over of South Africa’s innings. However, there, he got smoked away for all of 24 runs in that last over, including David Miller clattering him for three consecutive sixes in the last over.

After being smashed for two sixes by Miller, Chahar bowled another short ball, which the left-handed batter once again pulled fiercely. However, this time Miller didn’t get his timing right and didn’t get enough distance on it as the ball ended up in Mohammed Siraj’s hands at deep square leg.

However, in another twist, Siraj was backpedalling and didn’t have a good measure of the boundary line behind him. With the ball still in his hand and in the process of taking the catch, Siraj stepped on the boundary line! Thus, it meant it was another six for Miller.

Siraj stood there in disappointment upon realizing that his catch was now a six. Rohit Sharma had also a frustrating look on his face, while Deepak Chahar, the bowler who was denied a wicket by Siraj, hurled out some abuses toward Siraj. Chahar also gestured with his hand and let Siraj know of his anger.
