Star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja broke the internet on Thursday night after he shared a hilarious tweet that went crazily viral across social media. Ravindra Jadeja, who is currently out of action ever since he endured a knee injury during the Asia Cup 2022 earlier this month, took to his Twitter and shared a picture of Sanjay Manjrekar e with a caption in which he mentioned the latter as his dear friend.

Ravindra Jadeja and Sanjay Manjrekar haven’t had the best equation and, in fact, have a bitter history that dates back to 2019. However, Jadeja surprisingly posted Manjrekar’s pic with a caption:  “Watching my dear friend on screen @sanjaymanjrekar.”

The picture was taken from a television broadcast of the ongoing Legends League Cricket tournament where Manjrekar is on the commentary duties. The Tweet went viral in no time and was soon flooded with reactions from the fans. Sanjay Manjrekar was also quick to notice the tweet and come up with a reply to it. On Friday morning, the former Indian cricketer turned commentator replied to Jadeja’s post by calling him ‘dear friend’ and hoping to see him back on the field soon. He wrote:

“Ha ha… and your dear friend looking forward to seeing you on the field soon :)”

Well, the conversation between Jadeja and Manjrekar took the fans by surprise because of their bitter history. It first came into the limelight during the 2019 edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup when the veteran India batter had called the all-rounder ‘bits and pieces’ cricketer. He had said: “I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner.”

Irked by his statement, Ravindra Jadeja too had replied back on Twitter and later through his celebration after scoring a fifty in the World Cup semi-final match against New Zealand. He Tweeted: “Still I have played twice the number of matches you have played and I am still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved. I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhea,”
