Cricket isn’t a popular game in America, but some of the Indian cricketing stars are well-known and followed among Americans. While you’d expect some of the greatest Indian players to get noticed by even native Americans, one surprising tweet for Mohammed Shami has come from a renowned adult film star Kendra Lust!
This tweet was made by the 43-year-old Kendra Lust after Mohammed Shami’s scintillating performance for Gujarat Titans in their IPL 2022 game against Lucknow Super Giants on March 28 that took place at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
The senior India and Gujarat Titans pacer ran through the Lucknow top-order to return with match-winning figures of 3/25 in 4 overs. On the first ball of the match, Shami bowled an unplayable delivery to which LSG skipper KL Rahul nicked behind.

In his second over, Shami tore through the defences of left-hander Quinton de Kock. And in his third over on a trot, Shami castled Manish Pandey. Shami’s 3 wickets in the powerplay went a long way in restricting Lucknow to 158 despite fifties from Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni.
The Titans’ chase went to the wire with four of their batters scoring 30 or more runs, and eventually, Rahul Tewatia sealed the game with some late hits, winning the match with only 2 balls to spare.
Mohammed Shami was rewarded with the Player of the Match award for his thunderous powerplay bowling show.
Soon after Shami had nipped out the three wickets, an elated Kendra Lust took to Twitter to praise the 32-year-old seamer from Uttar Pradesh with a heart emoji!

Mohammed Shami named in reserves for T20 World Cup
Even though Mohammed Shami hadn’t played any T20I for India after the T20 World Cup last year, the selectors and management decided to name him in the reserve set of players to fly to Australia for the T20 World Cup squad.
Rohit Sharma later said that the quality of senior bowlers like Shami is well-known and with their experience, they don’t always need to play matches in the T20 format to be selected. Shami had a terrific IPL 2022 season – he snapped up 20 wickets, playing a crucial role in Gujarat Titans lifting the trophy. Shami recently was named for the T20I series against Australia, but was ruled out due to covid.
