Cameron Green was declared the next big thing in Australian cricket even before he made his international debut in December 2020. His features are just stunning, ones which any team in the world craves of: tall all-rounder; hard-hitter with the bat who has the capability to play the anchor role; bowls seam deliveries with a mix of short and hard length stuff; age: only 23 at the moment.
With 14 Tests under his belt, Green has already cemented his place in Australia’s Test side. He’s featured in 12 ODIs and doing big rounds there too: batting average of 54, strike rate 92; 11 wickets in 12 ODIs at an economy of 4.9.
Now, he’s given something to think about for the Aussie management with his latest blistering knock in only his 2nd T20I: opening in place of the rested Warner, Green smashed 61 runs off 30 balls to make the chase of 209 easier in Mohali against India.

Bron on June 3, 1999, Cameron Green got a Western Australia when he was still in school. He burst onto the scene with 5/24 on first-class debut against Tasmania in February 2017 as a 17-year-old, becoming the youngest bowler to take a five-wicket haul in the history of Shield cricket.
While selected first for his bowling, his nearly two metres tall frame of making that decision easier for WA, Green also possesses strong technical batting ability. In the 2019/20 season, his maiden first-class century – scores of 87* and 121* as a tailender – helped WA force a remarkable draw against Queensland at the Gabba, and followed it up with 197 from 438 balls against NSW.
These performances got him his first call-up to the national team – in 2020 in the home ODI and Test series against India and he made his debut in both the formats.
