SA20 League 2023 Player Auction: Full List Of Players, Complete Squads And Costliest Buys

SA20, the brand new franchise T20 league of South Africa, conducted its first-ever players’ auctions on Monday and as many as 314 cricketers went under the hammer in the auction. The six teams in the league are owned by IPL franchises — MI Cape Town (Reliance), Pretoria Capitals (JSW), Paarl Royals (Royals Sports Group), Durban Super Giants (RPG-Sanjiv Goenka), Johannesburg Super Kings (India Cements), Sunrisers Eastern Cape (Sunrisers Hyderabad owner Kaviya Maran). 

With a salary cap of R 34 million (USD 1.9 million approx, INR 15 crore) per team, an intense bidding war was witnessed with Tristan Stubbs, who plays for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, being the most sought-after. Sunrisers Eastern Cape roped in his services for a whopping  9.2 million rand (USD 500,000 plus) at the inaugural auction of the SA T20 league.
