This Conversation Between Jonty Rhodes And Erin Holland Has Won Many Hearts

Legendary South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes and popular commentator and TV host Erin Holland were recently indulged in a heart-winning conversation on Twitter, that has hogged all the limelight on social media.

Jonty Rhodes, who is currently leading the  South Africa Legends in the ongoing 2022 edition of the Road Safety World Series, was a happy man after his side registered their first win. After losing their first game against India Legends by a big margin, South Africa Legends made a stunning comeback to their 2022 Road Safety World Series campaign against New Zealand Legends in their second group stage game, which was played at Green Park, Kanpur on September 12 (Monday).

Talking about the game, New Zealand Legends won the toss and opted to bat first, however, they had a poor start with the bat as they lost their first wicket in the very first over of the match. None of the Kiwi batters except, Dean Brownlie managed to stay at the crease. New Zealand Legends could not even cross the 100-run mark in their allotted 20 overs with Brownlie top scoring after amassing run-a-ball 48.

For South Africa Legends, Johan Botha (four wickets) and Thandi Tshabalala (three wickets) turned out to be the most successful bowlers. Chasing exactly 100 runs in their allotted 20 overs, the batting side started cautiously with openers Morne van Wyk and Andrew Puttick playing each ball at its merit. Puttick and Alviro Petersen took charge of the South African innings and chased down the total in 13.3 overs with Puttick remaining unbeaten on 51 runs and his partner Petersen scoring 29 runs off 23 balls.

After the game, Erin took to her social media and shared a picture with the winning captain. Sharing the picture, Erin called Jonty Rhodes her ‘Bhai’. She wrote:

“@JontyRhodes8 Bhai 🙏🏼”
