After naming India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have also announced the squads for the upcoming twin 3-match T20I series against South Africa. The upcoming series will mark the return of Mohammed Shami to the T20 format of the game after not playing a single game in the shortest format of the game since the 2021 T20 World Cup.
Shami and Deepak Chahar, who have been named as the stand-by players in the T20 World Cup squad are both part of the main team for the upcoming series. However, India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will have to sit out in the three-match series against South Africa while Arshdeep Singh is not a part of the squad that will face Australia.

Australia is all set to tour India for the upcoming T20I series. Both countries will be playing a three-match T20I series. The three T20I games will take place on September 20, 23, and 25. Following this, India will lock horns against South Africa in a three-match T20I series on September 28, October 2, and 4 in Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, and Indore respectively.
