Former Indian and Chennai Super Kings’ batting superstar Suresh Raina made his debut for the Indian Legends in the ongoing second edition of the Road Safety World Series, which kicked off tonight on Saturday. Days after announcing his retirement from all game formats, Suresh Raina joined the Sachin Tendulkar-led team in Kanpur for the series opener against the South Africa Legends.

Hailed as one of the finest batters in the history of the Indian Premier League, Suresh Raina last played in the T20 league back in the 2021 edition of the IPL for Chennai Super Kings. Recently, he announced his retirement from all the formats of competitive cricket.

In order to play n different T20 leagues around the world, Raina had announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. On Tuesday, he took to his social media and made the big announcement. He wrote: “It has been an absolute honour to represent my country & state UP. I would like to announce my retirement from all formats of Cricket. I would like to thank  @BCCI,  @UPCACricket, @ChennaiIPL, @ShuklaRajiv sir & all my fans for their support and unwavering faith in my abilities ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ”

A few days after taking retirement from all the formats of the game, Suresh Raina made a stellar return to the game. Playing for the Sachin Tendulkar-led side, Raina turned back the clock as he played some mesmerizing knocks. He played an amazing knock of 33 runs off 22 balls, including 4 fours and one six.
