Baby Store Owner Comes Out In Support Of Virat Kohli And Hardik Pandya: A lot has happened during the last few days, from controversies to injuries, the Indian cricketers have been making a lot of news. Recently, five Indian cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Navdeep Saini, and Prithvi Shaw were involved in a controversy and were isolated after they were spotted eating in a restaurant by a fan.
Following the controversy, another accusation has been levied on the Indian cricketers as it has been alleged that the Indian skipper Virat Kohli and star all-rounder Hardik Pandya had also breached the bubble protocols.
Pictures of Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya shopping in a toy-shop have been floating around on social media. And people on social media have been targeting the two cricketers and are blaming them for breaching the protocols.
However, now the owner of the baby shop, Nathan Pongrass has dismissed these claims. He even termed the Indian skipper and Pandya as ‘lovely people’. The owner confirmed that there were no restrictions in New South Wales when the duo made their visit to the store. He revealed:
“They came in and spent a little bit of time. At that stage, there were no restrictions in New South Wales. We wanted to give them gifts but they wanted to pay for everything. They were just so generous with their time. They spent time talking with our staff. They were just lovely people,”
The shop owner also stated that the entire ‘Baby Village’ team is proud of the fact that the Indian cricketers had decided to pay a visit to their store. He said:
“They were kind enough to take a couple of photos with our team, which wanted to share the experience with family members. We put that on social media to just show we were being proud that they had chosen to visit our store.”
The shopkeeper also added that there were not many cases in New South Wales when the Indian cricketers paid their visit to the store. He also revealed that the situation is so good there that even pregnant women are not wearing masks. He said:
“I don’t think there were masks. As I said before, at that time, there weren’t many new cases in New South Wales. If you looked through the streets, one in 50 people were wearing masks. Older people were wearing and even some pregnant ladies weren’t wearing masks in Sydney. It’s really a shame what has happened in the media because of it.”
