Suresh Raina Hints At Comeback And His Fans Can’t Keep Calm

Former Indian cricketer and world cup hero Suresh Raina has dropped a big hint about making a return to the game as he shared a video on his social media accounts showing him resuming training.

Raina had taken retirement from international cricket on 15th August 2020, just hours after his great friend and mentor MS Dhoni announced his retirement. Raina last played for the Indian cricket team in an ODI match against England in 2018.

Despite bidding goodbye to international cricket, Suresh Raina continued to play in the Indian Premier League. In fact, he was a part of the Chennai Super Kings squad that won the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. However, the star player was released by the four-time IPL champs ahead of the IPL 2022 mega-auctions and went unsold later on.

Raina was seen in a different avatar in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League as he was seen doing the commentary duties. IPL 2021 was the last time when Raina was seen playing in any competitive cricket.

However, the star player is all set to make a return to the cricket world. Raina has finally gotten back to playing the sport with the domestic season set to begin next month.

On Tuesday, Raina took to his social media and shared of himself, showing glimpses of his vintage best to his fans in the clip. Sharing the video, he wrote: “First love ❤ Back on field 🏏🏏

Talking about his numbers, with a total of 5528 runs in 205 games, Raina is the 5th highest run-scorer in IPL history. During his glorious career of 13 years, Raina played 18 Test matches, 226 ODIs, and 78 T20Is.
