Zimbabwe series important for Ishan Kishan
Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan will look to make a mark on the selectors and team management once again after being excluded from the Asia Cup 2022 squad. Kishan had been India’s backup opener to Rohit and KL Rahul, however, a drop in form recently saw him being benched for four of the five T20Is in the West Indies as Suryakumar Yadav opened the innings with Sharma.
Now, with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli back in India’s squad for the Asia Cup, Kishan was dropped and not included in the standbys either. With the T20 World Cup 2022 only a couple of months away, the left-hander – who was part of the T20 World Cup team last year – will be hoping to make a strong comeback.
