While Mumbai Indians had a forgettable IPL 2022 season, where they finished at the bottom of the points table for the first time, the franchise has not forgotten it and has already put the first big preparation plan in motion for the IPL 2023: a three-week exposure tour of England in July for their uncapped Indian players.
Mumbai Indians’ Master Plan For IPL 2023

The franchise has organised this tour where the players will be able to train at the various state-of-the-art facilities in England, and their Indian youngsters will be playing at least ten T20 games against top club sides across multiple counties.
“Tilak Varma, Kumar Kartikeya, Ramandeep Singh, Hrithik Shokeen are some of the players who will get exposure playing against top T20 club sides in trying conditions,” an IPL insider in the know of the developments told PTI. “Arjun Tendulkar, who is also in the UK and South African youngster Dewald Brevis are also likely to join the touring party.”

Head coach Mahela Jayawardene and other support staff members will join the youngsters in England to oversee their progress.
The source further added: “Look, the Indian domestic season has come to an end. While the top players like skipper Rohit Sharma, premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah will be now on the road with the national team, our international stars will also be busy with their respective commitments. The ones who need to be monitored are our younger crop of players as they won’t be having any match practice for three and half months before the next domestic season starts.
“So effectively, we can’t call it a pre-season trip as IPL is still nine months away. But it is trying to monitor the progress of our core group of youngsters going forward.”
For this trip, MI didn’t need permission from the BCCI since this trip isn’t a commercial one where no matches will be broadcast.
MI Players likely to go for the UK trip:
Tilak Varma, Kumar Kartikeya, Hrithik Shokeen, Mayank Markande, Rahul Buddhi, Ramandeep Singh, Anmolpreet Singh, Basil Thampi, Murugan Ashwin, Aryan Juyal, Akash Medhwal, Arshad Khan, Arjun Tendulkar, Dewal Brevis
Rival franchise fans also hailed the five-time champions for their proactive approach toward the next edition.

Well this is really good what mi is doing for their domestic players. I am not a hardcore mumbai fan but I am very big fan of their preparation and they work hard to stay ahead other franchises. It won’t be surprising if mumbai wins the next season with help of domestic players.
