Suresh Raina Is A Kashmiri Pandit And Here’s How He Reacted To ‘The Kashmir Files’: The recently released movie, starring Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty, has been receiving praises from all corners for its hard-hitting and brilliant narrative. The movie is based on the exodus and genocide of Kashmiri Pandits during the Kashmir insurgency in 1990. The film has been declared a ‘smash hit’ and is on its way to becoming a blockbuster hit very soon.
While the movie continues to dominate the box office, despite COVID restrictions, on the other hand, social media has been flooded with amazing reactions from fans. Among many, former Indian cricketer and world cup hero Suresh Raina also joined the bandwagon.
The IPL legend recently took to Twitter and urged people to watch The Kashmir Files and raise their voice for the Right To Justice. In his Tweet, Raina also shared a video from the film’s screening where a woman broke down after watching the film and expressed gratitude to the director of the movie, Vivek Agnihotri.
Sharing the video, Suresh Raina tweeted, “Presenting #TheKashmirFiles It’s your film now. If the film touches your heart, I’d request you to raise your voice for the #RightToJustice and heal the victims of Kashmir Genocide. @vivekagnihotri @AnupamPKher @AdityaRajKaul.”

Not many are aware of the fact that the former CSK superstar is a Kashmiri Pandit himself and hails from ‘Rainawari’ in Jammu and Kashmir. His family had to move from the village after the Kashmir Genocide and subsequent exodus in the 1990s. The family settled down in the Muradnagar town, Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh.
Time and again, Suresh Raina has expressed his love for the beautiful Kashmir via his posts on social media. Here, check out some of his Tweets, expressing his love for Kashmir:

Gosh! What all a person must do to remain relevant! Even more so for a nation that is living on alms. So, better do something for your failed nation and leave #Kashmir alone. I am a proud Kashmiri and it is and will always remain an inalienable part of India. Jai Hind!??

For Kashmiri Hindus today marks 32 years in forced exile. We are determined to return home to Kashmir. My dear brother @adityarajkaul recounts the painful memories of 1990 when his family lost home forever and rebuild life bravely. Respect the journey! https://t.co/W53AlIspMP
