India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been receiving praises from all corners after he smashed a stunning century in the first match of the two-match Test series against the Dimuth Karunaratne-led Sri Lanka National Cricket Team in Mohali.

Jadeja lived up to his reputation and showed why many regard him as one of the greatest all-rounders of the game. What followed after his special century was his famous sword celebration with the bat, which was long-awaited.

Jadeja was batting at 45* when Day 1 ended and he continued his batting brilliance on day 2 and completed the half-century milestone off 87 balls including 6 boundaries. He formed a crucial partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin and together they added 50 runs in just 75 balls and 100 runs in just 138 balls. Finally, Jadeja completed his sensational century off 160 balls including 10 fours.

While Jadeja has played several match-winning and crucial knocks for the Indian cricket team, this was only his second Test century in the longest format of the game. His first century came in 2018 in a match against West Indies.

This century is special in every way and is another massive milestone in Jadeja’s incredible growth as a batter in the last few years and the same is reflected through his average. Since 2018, Ravindra Jadeja has averaged above 43 in Test cricket with the average going up to 76.57 in home conditions. Prior to this, Jadeja’s Test average was below-par 29.17.

There is no denying the fact that SIR Jadeja is among the best all-rounders in world cricket at the moment.
