Former Indian cricketer and World Cup hero Suresh Raina penned down a beautiful tweet for batting maestro Virat Kohli, who is playing his 100th Test match today. Virat Kohli became only the 12th Indian player to reach the milestone. He reached the landmark in the ongoing first Test match against Sri Lanka in Mohali.
Well, the ongoing first Test match against Sri Lanka marks Kohli’s 100th Test. Ahead of the start of the play, he was felicitated by his childhood idol, Dravid.
“Thanks, Rahul bhai, it’s a special moment for me. My wife is here with me, my brother is there in the stands. It’s a team game and the journey wouldn’t have been possible without you guys. Thanks to BCCI too,” Kohli said while receiving the special 100th Test cap from Dravid.
He added: “I couldn’t have received it from a better person, my childhood hero. I still have that picture with you from my U-15 days. In present day cricket, with the amount we play with three formats and an IPL, the one takeaway the next generation can take from me is that I played 100 games in the purest format,”
