Well, the Pakistan Super League returned back to its country after five years and thus this season was special. However, the business has been affected by the coronavirus scare, so much so that foreign players are now heading back to their homes amidst the tournament. Besides this, the organizers have decided to replace the playoffs with semi-final and finals that will be played behind closed doors and four days ahead of the slated date.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, the final day of the league phase, thanks to Chris Lynn and his brilliance it turned into a thrilling one as he smashed his career-best hundred in the T20s to take his team Lahore Qalandars to the semi-final.
Playing against Multan Sultans Chris Lynn remained unbeaten after hitting 119 off 55 balls, where he smashed 12 fours and 8 sixes during the knock. He was later awarded the ‘Man Of The Match’ trophy to take his team to the victory side by defeating Multan Sultans by nine wickets and seven balls to spare.
After the match in an interview, Chris Lynn said that he would rather hit sixes than sitting at home because of the scare of Coronavirus. He said:
“I generally just like winning and if I go home I have to sit in isolation for two weeks so I would rather be playing here and hitting sixes. I would have missed out on it if I had gone home,”

Lahore Qalandars is the only team that has all its overseas players available till now. Talking about the same, he said:
“The situation is different in England as compared to Australia but I’m really proud of the Qalandars’ overseas playing group because they stuck together. We do have a player leaving tonight but he has obviously got a young kid and family comes first because that is a big thing in this franchise and we stick by that,”
However, he would have to leave for home before the semi-finals because of the border restriction and Coronavirus scare. But before leaving, he left an inspiring message for his teammates. He had said:
“I think we play our best cricket when our backs are against the wall and I think we are coming good at the right time. We are playing good and if we play really go, watch out,”

He added:
“We have got a point to prove against them [Karachi Kings] because they beat us by ten wickets the other night. We are back on our home turf and we get to have another crack at it. I think they are the team to beat because they are well structured and well balanced,”
