Virat Kohli Fans Are Slamming Netizens For Accusing Former Skipper Of Using Foul Lingo: India registered a comprehensive 6-wicket win over the West Indies in the first T20I at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday.
Skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front with the bat in the chase of 158, smashing 40 runs off 19 balls, followed by Suryakumar Yadav’s 18-ball 34. But it was the performance of debutant Ravi Bishnoi that gained India an upper hand during the West Indies innings. The young wrist-spinner put up an exhibition of googlies, returning with figures of 2/17 in his 4 overs, and bagged the Man of the Match award.
Eyes were again on Virat Kohli as well, after the former skipper had managed only 26 runs in the 3 ODI matches preceding the T20I series. Kohli looked more fluent this time; he stroked a classy drive early in his innings and also ran hard between the wickets. However, in trying to up the ante, Kohli was caught at long-off for 17 runs off 13 balls.
But, there is also another incident involving Kohli that has caught the attention of the fans. During the 8th over of West Indies’ innings, bowled by leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, one Twitter user recorded Kohli and accused him of using a slang abuse.
Chahal had elicited a false shot from batsman Roston Chase, who couldn’t connect his paddle sweep and the ball hit him on his body. The umpire turned down India’s LBW appeal, and the Men In Blue gathered to discuss a review.
Amid this, the fan said, Kohli was heard using an offensive term for a body part.

This video went viral on social media where Kohli fans came out in numbers to slam the user, saying that Kohli had said “guard par lagi hai ball” and not the cuss word mentioned.
Since Virat Kohli is already known for his ultra-aggressive body language on the field and his frequent use of abuses, initially it was just funny and not surprising that Kohli may have used a swear word then. However, the icon’s followers asserted that Kohli had said “guard”.
He definitely said “guard le lagi”, virat kohli bola toh matlab kuch offensive hi bola hoga na ???
