Suryakumar Yadav Hailed Rohit Sharma For His Batting ‘Class’

The Indian cricket team gave a stellar performance against West Indies in the opening T20I of the three-match series to take a lead. Ravi Bishnoi’s two-wicket haul was backed up by quality knocks by Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav to help the Indian cricket team to take a lead of 1-0 in the series.

Chasing a target of 158 runs, the Indian cricket team got off to a quickfire start all thanks to the openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan, who put on a run-stand of 58 runs together in the first six overs.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma played a powerful knock of 40 runs off just 19 balls, where he smashed 4 boundaries and 3 sixes.

Rohit Sharma gave a dreamy start to the Indian side, while on the other hand, Ishan Kishan took his time to score 35 runs off 42 deliveries. With Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant not being impressive, the finishing job was done successfully by Suryakumar Yadav who scored 34 runs off 18 deliveries, and Venkatesh Iyer, who scored 24 runs off 13 balls.

Rohit Sharma’s quickfire knock has earned him praises from all over. Meanwhile, after the match, Suryakumar Yadav was asked about what changes Rohit Sharma made after the World Cup 2021, where the Indian side lost miserably.

Responding to this, Suryakumar Yadav hailed the brilliance of Rohit and said: “Everyone knows the class of Rohit Sharma. He is doing the same as always. It’s the same for every player when they get a good start they go on to do well. He is leading from the front”

The Indian side will now lock their horns with the West Indies in the upcoming second T20 match on 18th February at the Eden Gardens.
