India’s talented all-rounder, Deepak Hooda picked his first international wicket in the ongoing second ODI match between India and West Indies in the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. After putting a target of 238 runs on the scoreboard for West Indies, the Indian bowlers put on a stellar show by dismissing the top-order in quick succession.
Deepak Hooda, who is playing as an all-rounder in the team, bagged his first international ODI wicket. He bowled a full-length delivery to dismiss the well-set Shamarh Brooks playing on 44 runs. Brooks tried to lift the ball over long-on but Surya Kumar Yadav who was fielding at the position caught the ball easily.

For the unversed, Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya share a History. Hooda was slated to be a vital cog for the Baroda team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021, however, the cricketer quit his team ahead of the tournament alleging that he was bullied by the skipper Krunal Pandya. Deepak Hooda, who has played a total of 46 first-class matches, was disturbed by the behavior of senior Pandya.
