Former Pakistan’s captain Sarfaraz Ahmed slammed Salman Butt via his latest tweet after the ex-left-handed batter pointed fingers at the Quetta Gladiators captain and his performance in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Sarfaraz Ahmed, which is leading the Quetta Gladiators franchise in the PSL, hit back at Butt after he questioned the former Pakistan captain and his poor performances and captaincy. In an interview, Salman Butt had said:
“He (Sarfaraz) is not doing any favour for himself. He is only creating difficulties for himself, and I’m sure he won’t have any answer for that today,”
He added: “He needs to concentrate on himself; he needs to look after his own performance, as he has been travelling with the Pakistan team as a second-choice wicketkeeper in the past 1.5 years. He needs to look after his own performance and not interfere with others’,”
Sarfaraz Ahmed took no time in hitting back at Salman Butt and through his tweet, Butt made sure to inform the world that he heard what Salman Butt had said about him and reminded Butt of his past deeds.
In his Tweet, Sarfaraz Ahmed reminded Butt of his involvement in the 2010 spot-fixing scandal. For the unversed, Salman Butt was the captain of the Pakistan team when the scandal broke out in England with Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir being at the center of it. Sarfaraz wrote:
“Pakistan ko ‘on duty’ beachne wala fixer jab niyat pe bhashan dega phir to Allah he Hafiz hai #justsying,”(Those who sold Pakistan while ‘on duty’ should be the last person to judge the intention of others),”
