India’s sensational bowler, Jasprit Bumrah managed to clinch a five-wicket haul to help the Indian cricket team secure a 13-run lead against South Africa in the ongoing third and final Test match at the picturesque Newlands Stadium, Cape Town.
Jasprit Bumrah, who made his debut for the Indian cricket team on the same venue – Newlands Stadium in Cape Town years ago, once again proved why he is hailed as the best in business.
After the Indian cricket team was bundled up for 223 runs, the onus was once again on the bowlers to put the team back on the driving seat. Jasprit Bumrah kickstarted the proceedings with a stunning note by dismissing South Africa’s Dean Elgar on Day 1 itself.
He continued his brilliance on Day 2 as he bowled Aiden Markram on the second ball itself. Although, the Proteas batters managed to form crucial partnerships, especially with the way pitch behaving batter-friendly. However, Bumrah gave a much-needed breakthrough to India by dismissing Keegan Petersen for 72 runs.
While the game looked in favor of team India, the tail started troubling the Indian bowling line-up which frustrated the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli before Jasprit returned to clean up the final wicket of Lungi Ngidi to claim his 7th five-wicket haul in Tests.
