Umpire Marais Erasmus Gave A Hilarious Warning To Team India: The second Test between India and South Africa in Johannesburg is evenly poised by the end of Day 3, setting up for an exciting Day 4. South Africa need 122 runs and has 8 wickets in hand on an uneven bouncy pitch.

Indian bowlers have managed to keep a tight leash on South Africa’s run rate in the second innings. In the 40 overs the hosts batted on Day 3, they scored 118 runs.

Marais Erasmus, one of the on-field umpires, had a challenging time officiating while the Indian pacers were troubling the Protea batters. Shardul Thakur, in fact, had opener Aiden Markram lbw, after two of his lbw appeals were turned down.

After a series of close lbw and catch appeals, Erasmus revealed his funny side, letting the Indians know that they’d been bowling really well.

“You guys are giving me a bloody heart attack every over man!” Erasmus told the Indian players between overs.

This cheeky comment by Erasmus was picked up by the stump mic and the video of the same has gone viral in the past few hours. Here is the video:

Speaking about the match, South Africa may feel they have their nose just ahead, but very well know that on this surface, a collapse is never far away.

India started the day with Cheteshwar Pujara continuing his flow from the previous evening and Ajinkya Rahane too showcased his range of shots, including a six over cover. Both the batters who had been struggling for form before this innings notched up their respective fifties but departed after that.

Hanuma Vihari’s solid 40 and Thakur’s quickfire 28 ensured India gave South Africa a big target of 240 runs. In reply, South African openers put up 47 runs for the first wicket before Thakur dismissed Markram. Keegan Petersen, who shared a 49-run stand with Dean Elgar, was trapped lbw by R Ashwin. Skipper Elgar remains unbeaten on 46 as the hosts eye a series-leveling win.
