BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has been making a lot of news these days however for all the controversial reasons. Recently, the former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly once again hogged all the limelight with his bold statement about Virat Kohli’s attitude.
Well, attending an event in Gurgaon, Sourav Ganguly stated that he likes the attitude of Virat Kohli but he ends up fighting a lot. The statement has come after the recent discord between Virat and the BCCI.
Well, recently, during the pre-departure press conference, Virat Kohli dropped a few bombshells on the BCCI. Virat refused the claims of BCCI president Sourav Ganguly regarding the captaincy shift by clarifying that he was not been spoken to previously about the change of captaincy.
Later, in response to the press conference, Ganguly said that he won’t be making any more statements and the BCCI will handle this matter.
Meanwhile, setting the controversy aside, Ganguly praised Virat Kohli’s attitude at the recent event in Gurgaon but also admitted that the Indian Test skipper fights a lot. He said: “I like Virat Kohli’s attitude but he fights a lot,”
Further, Ganguly also heaped praises on the newly appointed T20I and ODI skipper Rohit Sharma. Praising his leadership qualities, Ganguly is hopeful about a better option to take up the white-ball captaincy. He said:
“He deserves that position because of what he has done as captain. Five titles with Mumbai, another one with Deccan Chargers speaks volume of his ability under pressure. Once Virat decided he doesn’t want to be part of T20 leadership, he was the best choice. He started well, beating NZ 3-0 in India. Hopefully, we will see a better result for India next year than what we saw this year,”
During the event, Ganguly was also asked about how he deals with stress, responding to which, Ganguly gave an epic reply. He said:
“There is no stress in life. Only wife and girlfriend give stress.“
