Big Bash League Fantasy Cricket Tips for the Perth Scorchers vs Sydney Sixers game: In Match 19 of the ninth edition of the Big Bash League, Sydney Thunders face Melbourne Stars in Sydney in what can be expected to be a mouth-watering clash between the two major cities. Being undefeated so far in the tournament, Thunders would want to continue their dominant run and take a comfortable lead in the points table.

However, on the other hand, in an away fixture for Stars, who would be disappointed after their narrow loss against Strikers by 4 runs, will want to quickly stage a turnaround when they meet Thunders on January 2.

Weather Conditions:

The temperatures might on Thursday afternoon are expected to stay around the mid-20s with no possibility of rain during the day. However, it will be windy with intermittent cloud cover for the entire course of the game.

Pitch Report:

This will be the first match to be played at this ground in Sydney. It will be quite unknown to both the teams as not enough white-ball cricket has happened at the ground in the recent past. However, one can expect it to behave similarly like the pitch at the SCG.

Injury and Availability News:

There are no real injury concerns for any of the two teams. With all players available, one can expect a cracker of a contest to be played in Sydney.

Probable Playing XIs:

Sydney Thunders:

Usman Khawaja, Alex Hales, Callum Ferguson (C), Matthews Gilkes, Alex Ross, Daniel Sams, Chris Morris, Chris Green, Arjun Nair, Chris Tremain, Jonathan Cook

Bench: Liam Hatcher, Nathan McAndrew

Melbourne Stars:

Nic Maddinson, Marcus Stoinis, Hilton Cartwright, Peter Handscomb, Glenn Maxwell (C), Ben Dunk, Nathan Coulter Nile, Adam Zampa, Daniel Worall, Dale Steyn, Sandeep Lamichhane

Bench: Clint Hinchliffe, Nick Larkin

Top Picks:

Stars’ skipper Glenn Maxwell is an obvious pick given his recent form in the league so far. Coulter Nile might also be an interesting choice for his all-round skills. From Sydney Thunders, opening duo of Hales and Khawaja have been in excellent form and so has been Chris Green with his crafty off-spin and useful lower-order hitting.
