The mail from the ISIS-Kashmir, which was accessed by IANS, read: “We are going to kill you and your family.”

Meanwhile, the security arrangements outside Gambhir’s residence have been tightened. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Shweta Chauhan said that an investigation into the matter is underway.

DCP, central, Shweta Chauhan told ANI that Gautam Gambhir has approached the Delhi Police, alleging that he and his family have received death threats from ‘ISIS Kashmir’. “The investigation is underway. Security has been beefed up outside Gambhir’s residence,” DCP Shweta Chauhan added.

This isn’t the first time when Gambhir has received threats from terrorists. It was in December 2019, when Gambhir had approached the Delhi Police alleging death threats to him and his family members from an international number. He had urged the Delhi Police to lodge a case and ensure the safety and security of his family.
