Team India carried on with their amazing form as they won the third and final match of their T20I series against New Zealand. Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team defeated New Zealand by 73 runs to complete a clean sweep in the ongoing series.

Team India looked at their very best playing the game at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. They gave an all-round performance and outperformed the Kiwis throughout the game.

After electing to bat first, team India got off to a brilliant start. Rohit once again played a stunning knock and smashed his 26th T20 international half-century. Rohit played a stunning knock of 56 runs off 31 balls, smashing 5 fours and 3 sixes. On the other end, Ishan also played a crucial role by smashing six boundaries in his 29-run knock.

However, once the opening stand was broken, team India kept losing their wickets at regular intervals. Shreyas Iyer, Venkatesh Iyer, Deepak Chahar, and Harshal Patel also contributed with the bat. Deepak Chahar’s last over heroics took the score of team India to 184 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Later, while defending the scores, the Indian bowlers did a terrific job with the ball as they managed to restrict the Kiwi batters to 111 runs. Though, the Kiwis started off well by scoring 21 runs off their first two overs to kick-start their run-chase, however, they lost their way and failed to find it in the rest of the game.

Axar Patel turned out to be the hero with the ball as he wreaked havoc as he dismissed Daryl Mitchell, Mark Chapman, and Glenn Phillips in pretty quick succession.

Martin Guptill once again looked in terrific form as he stayed until the 11th over and scored 51 runs off 36 balls, smashing 4 fours and as many sixes. However, Yuzvendra Chahal, who was making his return to the playing XI, got rid of him. Harshal Patel impressed once again as he picked up two crucial wickets for 26 runs

Meanwhile, as soon as the Indian cricket team finished the game with a stunning 3-0 win in the series, social media was already flooded with hilarious reactions from the fans to it.
