Old Tweet Of Rohit Sharma Is Going Virat Ahead Of Series Against NZ: Team India has already entered the transitional phase, just after a few days of the T20 World Cup, in which India failed badly to live up to the expectations of the fans and was knocked out of the league stage.

The Indian cricket team will be going through a major change in leadership with Rohit Sharma taking on the captaincy duties from Virat Kohli in the shortest format of the game and with the legendary batsman Rahul Dravid taking over the duties of India’s head coach.

The Indian cricket team led by Rohit Sharma will be locking their horns with the World Cup runner-ups New Zealand in the 3-match T20I series.

Meanwhile, ahead of the tournament, an old tweet of Rohit Sharma, which is dated back to November 7th, 2012, has resurfaced on social media and has been going viral on social media. Back then Rohit in his Tweet, had written that he has reached Jaipur and will be leading the side. He wrote:

“Touched down in jaipur and yes I will be leading the side, looking forward to the added responsibility :)”

Here, check out the Tweet:

For the unversed, the tweet was about a Ranji match between Rajasthan and Mumbai at Jaipur, where Rohit Sharma was leading Mumbai. During the game, Rohit played a stunning knock of 79 runs. Suryakumar Yadav was also a part of the Mumbai team.

Talking about the 3-match Test series against New Zealand, the series marks the return of Yuzvendra Chahal. On the other hand, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and other key members of the squad will be missing from the squad as they have been rested.
