Former Sri Lankan cricketer and legendary batter Kumar Sangakkara is hailed as one of the greatest wicket-keeper batters the world has ever seen. He was like a pillar, a backbone of the Sri Lankan cricket team for around 15 years. He represented the island nation in over 500 international games and with him in the team, the Sri Lankan cricket team managed to become one of the most dangerous-looking teams in the world.
He was the second-highest run-scorer in ODI cricket when he decided to retire in 2015. During his career of 15-years, Sangakkara amassed 28,016 runs in international cricket while instilling fear in the bowlers. These are just a few of the many milestones that he achieved in his career. However, despite achieving so many milestones, he is one of the most humble and down-to-earth personalities.
Recently, he gave another example of his generosity as he made a fan’s day by replying to his Tweet. Well, it all started after an Australian journalist Dennis Freedman took to his Twitter and asked the cricket lovers to tag their favorite cricketer and see if they reply.
Soon, the tweet was flooded with cricket lovers tagging their favorite cricketers from around the world. Among many, Twitter user Abdullah Jan tagged Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara in the hope to get a reply from his favorite cricketer. He wrote: ““@KumarSanga2″ I don’t think he will but let’s try”
