Angry Fans Are Slamming Team India For Their Hypocrisy: Ahead of the India vs Pakistan clash tomorrow, the Men in Blue were seen supporting the ‘Black Lives Matter’ (BLM) movement by taking the knee. Players of Pakistan cricket team also stood with their hands on their hearts.
For the unversed, sportspersons across the world have been taking the knee in the Black Lives Matter movement to show their stance support against racisim. The BLM movement was started after the death of George Floyd, an African-American, at the hands of a policeman in Minneapolis in Unites States.
Team India took the knee in the playing area while others took the knee at the other side of the boundary ropes. This is the first time when the Indian players have taken a knee. West Indies and England were the first two teams to take the knee. Both the teams came up with this gesture before the opening Test of the series last year.
After the match, when Virat was asked about whose decision was to take the knee, Virat Kohli revealed: that it was “communicated to us by the management, the Pakistan team agreed to pay their tribute to the same cause.”
“We accepted our side of things and that was how it was decided,” he added.
Meanwhile, fans on social media were left in awe of team India taking a stand against racism and joining the movement. However, a section of people on social media was left disappointed with team India taking a knee.
Several fans started trolling the Indian team and highlighted their hypocrisy after they took part in the Black Lives Matter movement by taking a knee. People slammed them for not speaking about any matters related to including the atrocities faced by minorities in their country or supporting facial creams etc.

This is one time when left, right and centre are laughing at this hypocrisy. Will some sports jurno enlighten us on who ordered this embarrassing empty gesture? Was it another US based nationalist? https://t.co/lSQodos63y

I don’t know whose idea it was to take the knee, but it has offended all sides of the ideological divide in India. What an achievement @BCCI ! #indiaVsPakistan #BLM pic.twitter.com/g2y28dHApU

So, @imjadeja is a Rajput Boy. Raina is Brahmin Pride. @sachin_rt wears his janeu over his kurta. @YUVSTRONG12 uses B word to abuse a cricketer, no social diversity in the team and our players are taking the knee! This we call the art of impression management! –#BlackLivesMatter pic.twitter.com/rzBdE3cbK6

Losing is part of the game. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that this team took the knee in support of B̶a̶n̶g̶l̶a̶d̶e̶s̶h̶i̶ ̶H̶i̶n̶d̶u̶s̶ A̶f̶g̶h̶a̶n̶ ̶H̶i̶n̶d̶u̶s̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶S̶i̶k̶h̶s̶ P̶a̶k̶ ̶m̶i̶n̶o̶r̶i̶t̶i̶e̶s̶ American blacks and won hearts.

I’m not sad India lost. Win and loss is part of the game. I’m outraged that they took a knee. What for? Is Joe Biden the president of this Indian team? What on earth is going on?
