Kolkata Knight Riders’ star player Rahul Tripathi showed immense fighting spirit and dedication last night during the final clash of IPL 2021 between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. He suffered an injury while he was fielding in the first innings but despite this, he came out to bat for his team.

The level of determination shown by Rahul Tripathi impressed one and all, including the legendary skipper of Chennai Super Kings, who appreciated the young cricketer.

Rahul Tripathi, who became the hero for KKR in Qualifier 2, suffered an injury scare during the season final last night. It was in the seventh over, when KKR’s Rahul Tripathi was witnessed hobbling off the field. Running in from the boundary to collect the ball, Rahul suffered an ankle injury after he failed to collect the ball cleanly.

After receiving medical treatment near the boundary, Tripathi was taken to the dressing room and Kamlesh Nagarkoti was called upon to the field as a substitute fielder.

After he suffered the injury, there were speculations about whether he will bat or not. Rahul Tripathi is known for giving 100% to his team, once again showed his passion for the game, as he walked out to bat despite the injury.

However, he couldn’t contribute much with the bat and was dismissed very early. But MS Dhoni was impressed with the dedication shown by Rahul Tripathi. After he was dismissed MSD, who was standing behind the stumps, patted the batsman on his back.

Meanwhile, this gesture by the legendary skipper has impressed one and all. Social media is buzzing with appreciation tweets for Dhoni.
