Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Sunil Narine stole the show with a stunning performance in the ongoing Eliminator 1 against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Sharjah. The Caribbean cricketer ran through the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s lethal-looking batsmen and bamboozled them.
Opting to bat first, Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore went off to a flirt but right before the end of the powerplay, KKR’s Lockie Ferguson provided the much-needed breakthrough to his team and dismissed RCB’s in-form batsman Devdutt Padikkal for 21 to break the 49-run opening stand. Virat Kohli soon joined KS Bharat in the middle.
The fans were expecting another swashbuckling performance from Bharat, however, the fans were left disappointed as Bharat soon joined Padikkal in the pavilion. It was in the 10th over of the game, when Sunil Narine came into the attack and got better of Bharat with a floated delivery. Though, it looked like the ball will hit the boundary but it was caught by Venkatesh Iyer at long-off.

That wasn’t it from Sunil Narine as the Caribbean off-spinner gave a massive jolt to RCB by dismissing the big fish — RCB skipper Virat Kohli. Virat looked to swipe across a flighted delivery from Narine but he left a huge gap between the bat and his pad. Eventually, he had to walk back to the pavilion after scoring 39 runs off 33 balls, which included 5 boundaries.

RCB’s batting superstar AB de Villiers became the next victim of Sunil Narine. The fans were expecting the ABDV show tonight in the big match, however, KKR shattered all the hopes. In the 2nd ball of the 15th over, AB de Villiers was castled by Narine with an off-breaker that spun past the ball and dismantled the stumps.

Now with three big fishes in his kitty, Narine came to bowl his final over and this time, he managed to pick the wicket of Glenn Maxwell. Narine bowled a fuller delivery and Maxwell went for a slog but the ball went out to Ferguson at short third man. Maxwell was dismissed after scoring 15 balls off 18 runs.
