MS Dhoni has been going through a tough phase as a batsman. For the last two seasons of the IPL, MS Dhoni – the batsman, hasn’t had the best of the seasons. The previous edition of the tournament was the worst season for MS Dhoni as he only managed to score 200 runs from the 14 games he played. His team also ended up at the bottom of the points table and it was the first time in the IPL history that the team failed to qualify for the playoffs.
While in the ongoing season, MS Dhoni-the captain has led his team Chennai Super Kings brilliantly and the team has already qualified for the playoffs, however, his stats as the batsman reads even worse with only 66 runs from 12 games.
Now in the ongoing game against Delhi Capitals, MS Dhoni has once again failed to perform with the bat.
In the ongoing match, CSK got off to a fast start thanks to some impeccable bowling from the Delhi bowlers but couldn’t capitalize on it. Axar Patel came in and got rid of the opener Faf du Plessis early in the game. Following that Ruturaj Gaikwad also fell and CSK was on the back foot.
Robin Uthappa and Moeen Ali started tried to bring the momentum back to the game but they were back in the pavilion in no time. CSK desperately needed someone to bring momentum back to the game and Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni tried to do the same. However, they were bogged down by the Delhi spinners. While MS Dhoni was seen struggling badly to find the fence and eventually lost his wicket in the final over, on the other hand, Rayudu managed to hit some lusty blows in the end and completed his half-century.
Meanwhile, fans on social media were once again left disappointed with the performance of MS Dhoni and started trolling the legendary cricketer, left, right and center.
