MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings will resume their IPL campaign with a high-voltage clash against the Mumbai Indians on September 19th in the UAE. After a disappointing season last year, the yellow army bounced back in some style under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Currently, they are sitting on the second number on the points table, with five wins in seven games.

While Chennai Super King gave a terrific performance as a unit, however, it was MS Dhoni’s form that came under the scanner. MS smashed just 37 runs in the seven appearances he made at a dismal average of 12.33. He announced his retirement from international cricket last year and since then he hasn’t played any competitive cricket apart from the IPL.

MS Dhoni is believed to be at the fag end of his career which also means that someone else will have to take charge of the captaincy in the upcoming seasons.

Suresh Raina, who is fondly called ‘Chinna Thala’ by CSK fans is the current vice-captain of the side, is seen as the next skipper to lead the side. However, recently, Indian and CSK star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has expressed his desire to lead the side.

Recently, a popular fan page of Chennai Super Kings posted the most heated question via their Twitter account. The Tweet read:

“Who would be your pick to captaining the CSK team after MS Dhoni?”

The Tweet went viral in no time with fans coming up with their suggestions for the next skipper of CSK. However, the tweet that stole all the attention came from CSK star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who expressed his desire to lead the side.

In his reply, Jadeja wrote his jersey number, i.e, ‘8’. However, he soon deleted his tweet but the fans were quick enough to take a screenshot, which is now going viral on Twitter.
